The owner was friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The views from the property were simply breathtaking and I loved waking up to them every morning. The bedroom was comfortable and well-kept, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Despite the lack of a shower, I embraced the slower pace of life and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the bath after a long day of exploring. The location was perfect for my hiking adventures at Mam Tor and Castleton. Although parking was a bit of a walk away, it felt safe and convenient. The little electric fireplace added a cozy touch, making the evenings incredibly pleasant. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this accommodation!

The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views that I couldn't get enough of. the accommodation itself was beautifully restored and furnished with lovely antiques, adding a touch of charm to the stay. the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, coupled with the delightful sun-trap garden, provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. the proprietor was incredibly kind and accommodating, making the whole experience fantastic.
While there were very few drawbacks to this property, one minor thing to note is that the staircase up to the bedroom was quite steep and a bit slippery. However, it didn't bother me too much once I got used to it.

I had a fantastic stay at this cozy, well-maintained accommodation! The owner was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The location was peaceful with breathtaking views that I woke up to every morning. Plus, my pet hedgehog Strawberry loved it too! It truly felt like a home away from home, even though a few extra amenities like an iron, food tray, and mini hand-held hoover would have been nice. But hey, who needs a shower when staying here encourages you to embrace the "slow living" lifestyle? The bath was perfect for relaxing after a long hike. Parking was a bit of a walk, but it felt safe. And with the electric fireplace, the chilly August evenings were cozy and warm. I and my hedgehog had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back!
The breakfast option could have been improved with a wider variety of choices.

Wow, what a view! The breathtaking scenery from our room was worth every penny. The newly decorated room was spotless and the comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep. The location was perfect for our romantic getaway, with plenty of woodland, river, and moor walks nearby. We also loved the beautiful antiques that adorned the accommodation, adding a touch of elegance to our stay. And let's not forget the peaceful and relaxing garden, perfect for enjoying a sunny afternoon.
There were a few downsides. the lack of a shower was quite surprising, as we assumed it would be a standard feature.
